Phuket has outstanding natural beauty and beautiful
islands. Phuket is surrounded by so many magnificent
tropical islands that literally it would take weeks
to explore them.
Phi
Phi Islands
The world famous Phi Phi island are the beautiful
island group. Of the two islands, Phi Phi Don is
the larger and more developed. Snorkelling around
the archipelago's coral reefs or climbing to one
of the many karst limestone lookouts is an unforgettable
experience. Phi Phi Le, to the south, is host to
scores of day trippers.
Coral
Island
Coral Island is 15 minutes from Phuket Island. This
is a popular tourist destination and is so well
known for its coral reef that it is often referred
to simply as Coral Island. Koh Hey is part of a
marine preserve, but accommodation, restaurants,
various watersports and diving are all available.
Raya
Yai Island
Raya Yai are a major attraction for day trippers
from Phuket. It has clean, sandy beaches and crystal
clear waters. On the west coast of Raya Yai is a
fine beach, closed in by a horseshoe-shaped hillside,
called alternately Ao Tawan Tok or Ao Bungalow.
On the east, at Ao Kon Kae Bay is a coral reef where
diving is excellent.
Maiton
Island
This tiny island off Phuket's southeast coast is
highly prized for its still perfect natural environment,
including fine white beaches and crystal waters;
ideal for swimming, diving, or fishing. The resort
proudly boasts the whole island to itself and there
are no day trips offered to this island.
